Privacy Policy

This Policy explains what personal data Rentix processes, why we use it, who may receive it, and how you can exercise your rights.

1. Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is Rentix Studio S.R.L., IDNO 1025600049249, registered at MD-2051, str. Alba-Iulia 21, of. 1, Chișinău, Republic of Moldova (“Rentix,” “we,” or “us”).

2. Data we process

The data involved depends on the features you use:

account and profile: phone number, email, name, description, avatar, connected Google account, public links, role, contact and notification preferences;
listings and property: description, price and terms, property characteristics and address, coordinates, photos, videos, files, publication and moderation history;
search and subscriptions: submitted searches, filters, language, search source, result count, saved subscriptions, delivery channel and destination;
reports: reason, comment, reported item and page, public information visible when the report was made, status, handling history, and account data when you are signed in;
Platform use: pages and listings viewed, IP address, a random browser identifier, date and time, device and browser data, error diagnostics, and security events;
privacy choices: the time and settings selected for analytics and campaign measurement, where this choice is available;
data from third parties: sign-in data and an avatar from Google, mapping and geocoding data, public sources, and information returned by integrated services.

Do not submit personal data, identity documents, financial details, or information about other people that is unnecessary for the relevant feature or request.

3. Where data comes from

We receive data directly from you, automatically from your browser and device, from other users, sign-in and communications providers, public sources, and partners that lawfully provide listings. Public information may still be personal data; we use it only for the Platform's purposes and under applicable law.

If a listing contains another person's data, the uploading user is responsible for having a lawful basis and any required permission. Disputed information can be reported through the “Report” action or our contact channels.

4. Purposes and legal grounds

Depending on the circumstances, we process data:

to create an account, complete a requested action, publish and display a listing, save favorites, searches or subscriptions, and enable contact between users — to respond to your request and perform our contractual relationship;
to secure accounts and the Platform, prevent spam and fraud, resolve errors, count unique views, protect rights, and improve the service — for the legitimate interests of Rentix and its users, balanced against individual rights;
to review reports, moderate content, respond to public authorities, retain mandatory records, and meet other requirements — to comply with legal obligations and establish, exercise, or defend claims;
to deliver selected notifications and service messages — to provide the feature or follow your settings;
to operate analytics and campaign-measurement technologies — with consent where required or under another ground permitted by applicable law;
in other cases, with your consent or under another ground permitted by applicable law.

Changing optional analytics or campaign-measurement settings, where those controls are available, does not restrict search, maps, authentication, listings, reports, or other core features.

5. Search, views, and analytics

Search activity may include the text you submit, applied filters, language, search source, result count, and account identifier when you are signed in. These detailed search records are automatically deleted after 90 days. De-identified aggregate statistics may be kept longer.

To prevent duplicate counting and produce view statistics, we may record the listing viewed, IP address, a random browser identifier, and the view time. Detailed records are retained as needed for accurate counting, abuse prevention, security, and legal claims; aggregate counts may remain with the listing.

A random browser identifier may last for up to five years unless you remove it sooner. It supports views, anonymous subscriptions, notifications, abuse controls, and linking relevant data after sign-in. It is not a verified identity, but it may relate to a person when combined with other information.

Rentix may use Google Analytics to measure visits and feature use. Meta Pixel and campaign-source data may be used to evaluate Rentix campaigns on external platforms. These technologies may load when the Platform opens and may use cookies or provider identifiers, but they do not display advertising on Rentix. See the Cookie Policy for details.

6. Maps, security, and external features

Google Maps, Places and Static Maps, together with external address and geocoding providers, support address search, geocoding, routes, and map display. A provider may receive an IP address, device data, the submitted search, and coordinates or a selected place. These services load when needed for a requested map or place search and are not optional analytics.

Google reCAPTCHA protects forms, authentication, uploads, and reports against automated abuse. It is a security technology and may load before you choose optional categories. Google's own terms and privacy rules apply.

7. Automated checks and artificial intelligence

We use automated rules and AI models for search, text creation and translation, photo and video analysis, identifying prohibited or unsafe content, and supporting moderation. Depending on the feature, necessary text, images, or technical data may be processed by the AI providers listed below.

Automated checks reduce risk but do not verify the author's identity, ownership, legality, authorization, listing accuracy, or absence of fraud. Content may be restricted automatically or referred to staff. If you believe a decision is wrong, contact us for review.

Do not put data into AI-assisted features unless it is needed for the listing or search.

8. Who may receive data

Access is limited to staff and contractors who need it for operations, security, support, or legal compliance. To the extent necessary, data may be processed by:

Google services for hosting and storage, maps, abuse protection, and AI features, including Google Cloud, Maps, Places, reCAPTCHA, and Gemini;
OpenAI for selected text and image functions;
Twilio and SendGrid for verification and service communications;
Telegram for notifications and operational communications;
external address and geocoding providers for address services;
Google Analytics for visit and feature analytics;
Meta for campaign measurement through Meta Pixel;
professional advisers and payment or advertising partners if such a feature is actually used and the disclosure is necessary;
courts, public authorities, and others where required by law or necessary to protect rights.

We do not sell personal data as a standalone product. Public profile data and listings are visible to visitors and may be indexed by search engines according to publication settings.

9. International processing

Some providers and their infrastructure are outside Moldova, so data may be processed in other countries where protections may differ. Where applicable law imposes specific transfer conditions, we use an available lawful basis and the safeguards it requires. You may ask us for details about a particular transfer.

10. How long data is kept

We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes above, considering the life of the account and listing, the selected feature, mandatory retention, backups, security, abuse prevention, and limitation periods.

account, listing, and related file data is generally kept while the account or publication exists, then deleted or restricted unless law or a specific dispute requires otherwise;
detailed search queries and events are kept for up to 90 days;
a random browser identifier lasts for up to five years;
reports are kept while they are reviewed and afterward only as needed to document handling, prevent abuse, meet legal duties, and establish or defend claims;
cookies and local browser data follow the periods in the Cookie Policy;
limited backup and security records may remain temporarily after primary data is removed and are deleted under our retention schedules.

Data needed for a legal obligation, investigation, or specific claim may be isolated and kept longer. Account deletion does not necessarily remove lawfully retained reports or other records, aggregate statistics, or another person's data.

11. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request:

information about processing and access to your data;
correction of inaccurate or completion of incomplete data;
deletion;
restriction of or objection to processing;
a copy in an accessible format and, where applicable, portability;
withdrawal of consent for the future without affecting earlier lawful processing;
review of a decision where applicable law provides that right.

You can submit a request through the form provided on the Platform or our contact channels. To protect the data, an account request may be verified with a fresh code sent only to the phone already linked to that account. If the account has no linked phone, use one of the listed contact channels. This process does not ask for an identity document, selfie, or date of birth.

Rights are not absolute. We may retain necessary data, reject a manifestly unfounded or excessive part of a request, or limit a response where required by law or another person's rights. We will explain the applicable restriction.

If you believe processing is unlawful, you can contact us first. You may also complain to Moldova's National Center for Personal Data Protection (CNPDCP): complaints and petitions guidance.

12. Security

We apply technical and organizational measures appropriate to the data, available technology, and risk, restrict access, and investigate suspicious activity. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Protect your sign-in code and device and tell us promptly if you suspect compromise.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy when features, providers, or law change. A new version is published with its update date, and we provide separate notice of material changes when required by law. Where consent is required, continued use alone does not replace it.
